Therapists, Ann Hopkinson, Alex Newman and Sarah Jones, who work from the Positive Living Centre recently trained in this fantastic new massage technique, which is the hottest new eco treatment to reach our shores.

Taking genuine tiger-striped clam shells from the South Pacific, where they form part of the local communities' day-to-day diet and were previously considered waste, this innovative new therapy is based on the shells' natural ability to heat up internally, with no need for heaters or generators. All that is needed is a salt water activator and a special blend of minerals, sea kelp and algae, which is placed in the centre of the shell, naturally heating it from within, both softening the skin and relaxing the body.

This shell therapy offers an intense, comforting massage, where therapists work their way from the arms, to the stomach, legs, shoulder, neck and back. The sustained heat allows deep relaxation and the alleviation of soreness.
