Some of you may not yet be aware that Positive Living School of Natural Therapies is a Vocational Training Charitable Trust (V.T.C.T.) approved centre. That means that we offer V.T.C.T. Level 3 Diploma courses in Body Massage, Reflexology and Holistic Crystal Therapy, Level 3 Certificate in Indian Head Massage as well as V.T.C.T. Level 2 Award in Thermal Auricular Therapy (Hopi Ear Candles) and the Award in Foot Care.

  

These courses offer a fully rounded learning experience, in small groups with a maximum of eight learners and are presented by qualified, experienced lecturers/assessors.

  

The V.T.C.T. Level 3 Diploma in Body Massage is made up of eight mandatory units totalling 53 credits and comprises the following units: Explore the origins of massage and principles of complementary and alternative medicine; maintaining personal health and well-being; monitor and maintain Health and Safety practice in the salon; provide Body Massage; provide Indian Head Massage; provide massage using pre-blended Aromatherapy oils; client care and communication in beauty related industries; apply Stone Therapy Massage. Knowledge of required anatomy and physiology for the Diploma is also included in the course content and will be covered by taught sessions, home study and external assessment.

  

The V.T.C.T. Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Crystal Therapy is made up of two mandatory units and comprises the following: Assess the client and implement Holistic Crystal Therapy; use interpersonal skills with therapy clients. Knowledge of required anatomy and physiology for the Diploma is also included in the course content and will be covered by taught sessions, home study and external assessment as required.

  

The V.T.C.T. Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology is made up of four mandatory units: Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology for Complementary Therapies; provide Reflexology for Complementary Therapy; principles and practice of Complementary Therapies; business practice for Complementary Therapies. Case studies are also mandatory for this course. Prior knowledge and certification can be credited for current up to date previous qualifications.

 

The V.T.C.T. Level 3 Certificate in Indian Head Massage is made up of three mandatory units: Client care and communication in beauty related industries; monitor and maintain health & safety practice in the salon; provide Indian Head Massage. Prior knowledge and certification can be credited for current, up to date previous qualifications.

 

The V.T.C.T. Level 2 Award in Thermal Auricular Therapy is made up of three mandatory units: Follow Health and Safety practice in the salon; client care and communication in beauty related industries; provide Thermal Aricular Therapy. Case studies are also mandatory for this course.

 

The V.T.C.T. Level 2 Award in Foot Care is made up of one mandatory unit: Foot care. Case studies are mandatory for this course.

 

Candidates will be able to progress into other areas of the complementary therapy or beauty therapy industry or directly into self-employment with any of these qualifications.
